'Otakiri’ in Maori means lifting of a ‘Tapu’ (concept of sacredness). This can loosely be translated as ‘cleansing the soul’. ‘Otakiri Reserve’ is sourced from the Otakiri Aquifer in the Bay of Plenty region of New Zealand. It is a relatively low mineralised water but rich in silica, the ‘beauty element’.
